The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) tests are renowned for their rigorous competition and negative marking policy (0.25 marks deducted for every incorrect response). Understanding how to handle this mechanism is key to qualifying.
1. Managing Negative Marking
Never guess blindly in PPSC papers. Only attempt questions where you can confidently eliminate at least two options. A score of 60-70+ with high accuracy is often sufficient to make the interview merit list in most specialized posts.
2. Core General Knowledge Syllabus
- Pakistan Studies & History (1857 to present day)
- Current Affairs & International Organizations (UN, OIC, SCO, SAARC)
- Everyday Science (human anatomy, solar system, vitamins, scientific instruments)
- Basic Computer Science (shortcuts, MS Office, internet fundamentals)
- Urdu Literature and basic grammar
